Scholarships

Social innovation is for everyone.

Each course reserves four scholarship places that cover 100% of course fees: 

  • Two seats for First Nations people: If you're applying, we encourage you to invite First Nations colleagues or friends to apply as well. 
  • Two seats for young people, individuals with lived or living experience, or those on low incomes.

FAQs

  • Am I eligible to apply?

    You’re eligible if you identify as one of the following:

    • A First Nations person
    • A person with lived or living experience (e.g., mental health challenges, disability, caregiving, or social disadvantage)
    • A young person aged 18–26
    • Someone on a low income
  • How many courses can I apply for?

    You can apply for one course per year. In the application form, you’ll be asked to nominate your preferred course(s).

  • What’s the application process?

    1. Complete the online application form.
    2. You’ll be added to the waitlist.
    3. If a scholarship seat is available, we’ll email you with an offer.
    4. Confirm your place as soon as possible. If you can’t attend, let us know so we can offer the spot to another learner.
  • How are decisions made?

    Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis:

    • Two seats are reserved for First Nations Peoples.
    • Two seats are reserved for young people, individuals with lived or living experience, or those on low incomes.
    • If the First Nations seats aren’t filled, they’ll be offered to other eligible applicants on the waitlist.
  • When will I know if I have a place?

    You’ll be notified by email, typically two weeks before the course starts.

  • Is this a safe space for me?

    TACSI facilitators are experienced in fostering inclusive and supportive environments. We’re committed to your wellbeing and welcome feedback at any time. If you need accommodations to support your learning, let us know—we’re here to help.

  • Is this a culturally safe space for me as a First Nations person?

    We prioritise cultural safety by reserving two seats per course for First Nations learners and encouraging them to join with friends or colleagues. Our facilitators are trained in cultural competency and respect, and we are committed to maintaining a culturally safe environment.

  • What does “lived or living experience” mean?

    Lived or living experience refers to personal experiences of mental health challenges, social disadvantage, disability, or caregiving roles. If you’re unsure whether this applies to you, feel free to reach out for clarification.
